Power Blazer VS. Power Blade, 1991/92

For its trip to America, Power Blazer bulked up, lost the helmet, bought some sunglasses and very slightly changed its name. They even made the in-game sprites match the changes!

I remembering wanting Power Blade so much from the early screenshots in Nintendo Power, when it looked a lot more like Mega Man. Once they got all “realistic” to appeal more to a western audience, the charm was lost on me.
