This is All Japan Pro Wrestling Featuring Virtua… wait a minute, I was sure that said “Featuring Virtua Fighter”… weird. Anyway, I was a huge Virtua Fighter nut at the time, and was someone who disliked post-NES wrestling games. This game got me pretty excited. It led to Giant Gram on Dreamcast, which may still be my favorite wrestling game ever, though it’s been a while since I’ve played it.

More lovely illustrations by Katsuya Terada for the comic “Virtua Fighter 2: Ten Stories”. And with this, the Virtua Fighter marathon comes to a close.

Crappy scan of some beautiful art by Katsuya Terada for the comic “Virtua Fighter 2: Ten Stories”. The comic had a story for each character in VF2, along with some bonus art at the end.

The Japanese PS2 box for Virtua Fighter 4. I like the colors in this one more than the US box. Sorry I don’t have a better scan. I had to manipulate this one to get rid of the heavy moire patterns.

Virtua Fighter Cyber Generation for PS2. Before this came out, there were rumors since the Sega Saturn days that Yu Suzuki was working on a Virtua Fighter RPG. I got excited up until this game’s release. Oh well. Thinking back, those rumors probably were about Shenmue, as from early videos, it seemed to have started as a game about Akira instead of Ryo.

While Virtua Fighter 2 for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive was an awful creation that should feel bad about its existence, I kinda like this cover for the European release. Strange, yet understandable, that this version didn’t come out in Japan.

Interesting design for the cover of the Virtua Fighter Remix strategy guide in Japan.

Cool illustrated cover for Virtua Fighter Remix on Saturn. The drawing was done by the lovely Katsuya Terada.
